Hannah James & Sam Sweeney

Hannah James & Sam Sweeney are one of the foremost duos performing English folk music today. 2012 sees the release of their highly anticipated second album State and Ancientry (RootBeat RBRCD13). They play predominantly English songs and tunes on accordion and fiddle, and their live show includes Hannah's renowned high-energy clog dancing.

Hannah and Sam were half of four-piece band Kerfuffle, and began performing as a duo in 2008. Their debut Catches & Glees (RootBeat RBRCD07) was critically acclaimed and the following year they were nominated for the Horizon Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2010.
